License ArrangementsTelecourse LicenseA telecourse license allows educational institutions to use Coast
video lessons as part of a complete, college credit course. During
the term of the license, colleges may duplicate the programs for
use by students who are enrolled in the telecourse. Coast allows
duplication and distribution of tapes through approved sources.
If you have questions regarding approved sources, please contact
us at coastlearning@coastline.edu
. Online Course LicenseIntroduction to Jazz, Music Appreciation, Music Fundamentals, Web Design/ XHTML, Part I, and Web Accessibility require a No-Fee License, and there is no additional per student fee required. A License must be requested each term, and student enrollment reporting is required. The workbook/textbooks for these courses have been designed and are distributed in the most cost-efficient manner. The books are for a one-time use only. A serial number for class access is required and is included in each workbook/textbook. For more information, please call (800) 547-4748. Audiovisual Resource LicenseThe video lessons associated with a telecourse are excellent educational resources in their own right. An audiovisual license obtained during the term covered by a telecourse license gives an institution a preferential rate for duplicating and retaining one copy of the telecourse video lessons on VHS tape for placement in a library or learning resource center for the life of the duplicated tape. Or, your institution might consider using the video lessons as: an audiovisual resource for classroom lectures; part of a noncredit, continuing education class; a major addition to the video collections of public and academic libraries and medical centers. General Programming LicenseThe series listed in this catalog can be licensed for general programming on broadcast or cable television. Please contact us for information and price quotations for specific series and markets. Audiovisual Use Rights and RestrictionsA separate license is required to use videotapes as part of a formal course of study.
