Web Resources for Lesson 2: The First Step

Web Hunt: Critical Thinking

Using your favorite search engine, access the Internet to find at least two (2) sites that define and describe the process of critical thinking. You may use any of the following keywords, or come up with some of your own: "critical thinking," "thinking skills," "creative thinking," "how to think," "thinking tips."

After reviewing the sites, write a brief review of both of them. List the URL of each site, and offer an evaluation. Did you learn anything of value at the site? Who might benefit from it? Would you recommend it to your fellow students? Why or why not?

Be ready to share this written review with your class.

Web Hunt: Portfolios

Using your favorite search engine, access the Internet to find at least two (2) sites that offer tips on how to build and maintain a portfolio. You may use any of the following keywords, or come up with some of your own: "portfolio," "building a portfolio," "creating a portfolio," "portfolio design." If you have trouble finding sites on this subject, you may wish to visit the following sites:
