Web Resources for Lesson 15: Thinking Critically

Web Hunt: Critical Thinking

Using your favorite search engine, access the Internet to find at least two (2) sites that describe critical thinking and how to use it. You may use any of the following keywords, or come up with some of your own: "thinking," "critical thinking," "thinking critically," "how to think critically." If you have trouble finding sites on this subject, you may wish to visit the following URLs:

Write a brief review of what you found. List the URL of each site, and offer an evaluation. What did you learn? Do the authors believe critical thinking is a skill you can learn? Which techniques might you use to improve your critical thinking skills? Why? Would you recommend these sites to your classmates? Why or why not?

Be ready to share this written review with your class..

Please note: The World Wide Web is an ever-changing environment. URLs frequently become outdated, obsolete, and/or change when Internet sites are updated, or servers become disabled. If you are not able to access one of the URLs listed above, try the following: access the host name only; log on to search engines; or try the URL the following day. If you are still unable to access URLs we have listed at this site, there is a good chance that the site has been disabled. It is our intention to keep this site up-to-date. We would greatly appreciate any feedback you can give us.

Please contact us and let us know if there are URLs in our listings that are no longer accessible.
