Web Hunt: Diversity

Using your favorite search engine, access the Internet to find at least two web sites that deal with diversity. You may use any of the following keywords, or come up with some of your own: "diversity," "multiculturalism." If you have trouble finding sites on this subject, you may wish to visit the following sites:

• http://www.diversitydtg.com/ (Take one or more of the diversity quizzes.)

After viewing the sites, write a brief review of both of them. List the URL of each site, and offer an evaluation. Did you learn anything of value at the site? Who might benefit from it? Would you recommend it to your fellow students? Why or why not?

Web Hunt: Campus Services & Networking

Look through college web sites for services that are offered to students of various cultures and needs. Services could include: diversity training, multicultural services, mentor or "bridge" programs that pair new students with teachers of the same culture, student organizations, support groups, clubs, professional societies, extracurricular activities, services that can be accessed by distance learners, and school politics.

After reviewing the sites, write a brief review of the services you found. List the URL of the site, and offer an evaluation. Did you learn anything of value at the site? Who might benefit from it? Would you recommend it to your fellow students? Why or why not?
