Web Hunt: Student Success Tips

Using your favorite search engine, access the Internet to find at least two (2) sites that offer tips on how to succeed in college. You may use any of the following keywords, or come up with some of your own: "student success," "academic success," "college success," "study skills," "study tips," "how to study." If you have trouble finding sites on this subject, feel free to visit those listed below.

After viewing both sites, write a brief review of both of them. List the URL of each site, and offer an evaluation. Did you learn anything of value at the site? Who might benefit from the site? Would you recommend it to your fellow students? Why or why not?

Be ready to share this written review with your class.

Web Hunt: Virtual College

Using your favorite search engine, access the Internet to find at least two (2) sites that offer general services and advice to college students, especially distance learners. You may use any of the following keywords, or come up with some of your own: "college," "college life," "college adjustment," "college chat," "college forum," "virtual campus," "distance learning." If you have trouble finding sites on this subject, feel free to visit those listed below.

After viewing both sites, write a brief review of both of them. List the URL of each site, and offer an evaluation. Did you learn anything of value at the site? Who might benefit from the site? Would you recommend it to your fellow students? Why or why not?
